Just Peachy Topping

Just Peachy Topping

With the end of peach season upon us, I wanted to come up with a fun peach topping. We put ours over yogurt but it could be put over literally anything. Cake, french toast, oatmeal, you name it. It is the perfect combination of random ingredients that makes it not too sweet but not too but not too bitter either.

Ingredients

  • Peaches

  • Mint (shout out to our grandma for the fresh mint pulled from her plant)

  • Honey

  • Fresh lime juice (You can also used bottled lime juice but we prefer fresh)

Instructions

  1. Boil 3 peaches in a pot of hot water for about 5 minutes or enough for the skins to get soft. Take them out and rinse them in a bowl of ice water. Then peel the skins off.. they should fall right off but i used a knife to get started.

  2. Second, mix together the juice of 1 lime, 2 teaspoons of honey. This mixture goes well for 3 peaches but you can decide how much sauce or how little sauce you want based on your preferences and how many peaches you want to make at a time.

  3. Last, put the peaches over whatever entree or snack you decide and sprinkle the chopped mint over top. We highly recommend plain greek yogurt. The peaches and honey pair perfect with the otherwise bland taste of plain greek yogurt. (in our personal opinion).
