Chicken Flight
Last weekend, our dinner club decided to mix it up with a progressive dinner party. For those unfamiliar, a progressive dinner party entails going to a new house for each course, split up however you want. We did 1) appetizers 2) main and dessert and 3) cocktails.
We were in charge of the main and given it was going to be about 12 people, I was looking for a yummy but relatively low effort option to serve. Cue chicken flight.
The morning of, i put 14 chicken breasts into 5 different marinades listed below and all I had to do once everyone was over was throw on the grill. Once grilled to perfection, i had a few large cutting boards and let people cut a few pieces from each chicken breast so every could eat whichever flavor they liked best.
My marinades:
BBQ sauce. Can’t go wrong here but we love any of the local KC flavors!
Hot sauce. For the spicy lovers out there.
Soy sauce and orange juice. Sounds weird but this one might be my favorite.
No marinade but rubbed with a garlic herb spice.
Chopped cilantro, fresh squeezed lemon juice and olive oil.
Make sure you salt and pepper each of these to add extra flavor! Enjoy!
