French Toast Friday!

It’s finally Friday! Does this mean it’s now acceptable to start thinking about weekend brunch? We love brunch so much and I spend my whole week researching and dreaming about what delicious Brunch place I will pay a visit to over the weekend! This week, though, all my brainstorming was geared towards what delicious dish I can bring to Easter brunch on Sunday! I spent a lot of time on Pinterest and landed on this heavenly berry french toast casserole dish! This dish is a must add to your Easter table! It’s incredibly easy to whip up and I have no doubt that everyone will love it!

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf french bread

  • 2 eggs

  • 1.5 cups of milk

  • 1/3 cup of maple syrup

  • 1/2 tsp of cinnamon

  • 1/4 cup butter (melted)

  • 1 cup of sliced strawberries

  • 1 cup of blueberries

  • Suggested toppings: powered sugar + syrup

** Can sub whatever berries are desired!

Recipe

  1. Preheat oven 350

  2. Cut bread into cubes

  3. Whisk eggs, milk, maple syrup, and cinnamon together

  4. Toss bread cubes with the liquid mixture until covered

  5. Toss in 1/2 cup strawberries and 1/2 cup blueberries

  6. Let it sit 5-10 minutes

  7. Pour into a greased 9 x 13 pan

  8. Drizzle 1/4 cup butter on top

  9. Bake in oven for 30 minutes

  10. Top with remaining 1/2 cup strawberries, 1/2 blueberries, and powered sugar

  11. ENJOY!!
