Dessert Charcuterie Board

Dessert Charcuterie Board

A couple weeks ago I had a Christmas Party and I was asked to bring a dessert. I love to bake but I didn’t want to bring the average Christmas cookie. I decided to take my dessert game to the next level by bring a dessert charcuterie board, complete with my mom’s Heath Bar dip and Peppermint Mocha dip.

While this board is perfect a holiday gathering, it would also be a great addition to birthday parties, book club, wine night, Valentine’s day, etc. Not only is it fun for everyone to munch on, it is also incredibly easy to throw together. As mentioned above, I chose my mom’s heath bar fruit dip, in addition to a peppermint mocha dip. Then I selected my toppings based on what would pair well with the dips. I went to Trader Joe’s for for some bigger items, such as butter waffle cookies, pretzel sticks, pound cake, and fruit. I also went to the Dollar Tree for a cheap variety of mix ins, including wafers, oreos, M&ms, etc. They have a lot of great options to chose from. Not pictured is a big bowl of crisp apples that pairs phenomenally with the Heath Bar fruit dip.

I started by making the dips and put them on the tray in cute bowls. Then I started layering the toppings on the tray. You want the board to look visually appealing so make sure to layer with different colors, shapes, and textures. Most importantly, have fun with it and get creative.
