Kauffman Center Dining Experience

Kauffman Center Dining Experience

Last week, I had to opportunity to have a taste of the fall dining experience in The Founders’ Lounge at The Kauffman Center in downtown Kansas City. The fall menu was created by executive Chef Laura Comer and launched on September 13th.

They rotate their menu offerings seasonally and always aim to use fresh local ingredients! We are bigs fans of supporting local and think it’s phenomenal they include local ingredients in all 14 of their dishes! They source their ingredients from Hatfield Beef, Farm to Market Bread Co., Ibis Bakery, Green Dirt Farm, and The Roasterie to name a few. Do you recognize any on the list? I hope you spot a few familiar places! One of my favorite dishes included the Elote Papperdelle Pasta, which was dressed in lime olive oil and cheese corn sauce and topped with cotija cheese and charred corn! Additionally, what would a fall menu be without a pumpkin dish? I was pleased to end the night with a sweet Pumpkin Creme Brûlée Tart partnered with a cranberry gel. YUM!

The Dining experience is for show goers and visitors alike and costs $39 for a three course meal. They do offer a selection of small plate offerings as well. Walk-in diners are welcome, but reservations are strongly encouraged and can be made here. If you have been searching for a taste of fall, you will not be disappointed by The Dining Experience at the Kauffman Center.
